Our goal is to provide the highest level of service for those who come to see us. We strive to either correct or accommodate their need using the best combination of footwear and orthotics. Our orthotics are accurate and effective. Adjustments and modifications are usually made while the patient waits and typically without any additional charges.
We want the doctors to know that we are here to take care of their patients with integrity and care.
We treat everyone as we would our own family and friends.
We never attempt to sell something to the patient that they don’t need and if it is in their best interest we will refer them back to the doctor or to other businesses that can provide their need. This is the only way we will do business and this approach insures that we will have a good reputation. Patients that walk through our doors are usually in pain. We can help the vast majority be pain free within a very short period of time. Hopefully, they will tell their doctor and friends what we did to help them. This opens doors and it will allow us to do good business and draw patients from all over the north Alabama area.
We can make a decision to get orthotics easier for the patient if they know they are receiving orthotics that are thin, accurate and easily adjustable. They should be able to wear them in comfort while they do the job they are designed to do.
We also seek to educate the public in what we believe to be the best and most effective methods of treating foot problems. A good example of this is the high number of people that use soft gel heel cushions for plantar fasciitis or heel pain. The soft heel cushions may feel better but in reality they add a new stage in the gait cycle that causes additional time to the stress on the plantar fascia membrane. The additional compression and decompression of the soft pad allows the opportunity for more tearing and/or pulling of the membrane. The best solution and method of treatment is to reduce the tension on the plantar fascia and correct any gait related problems contributing to it. This may require custom or prescription foot orthotics. With foot orthotics in four to six weeks the patient will usually be pain free or they will be well on their way to healing. |
